Joe Carter
Music Producer
Joe Carter, also known as Jake, is an award-winning producer; songwriter, musician, and a founding member of the 90s band Joe Public. Jake and his band mates co-wrote and produced their debut album that produced the hit song “Live And Learn”. Live and Learn reached the top five on Billboard’s Hot 100 music chart, which lead to international tours and television performances. They appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Soul Train to name a few. MTV invited Joe Public to serve as performers and house band for the first ever MTV Uplugged R&B edition starring Boyz to Men and Shaunice Wilson. After a successful run with Joe Public in the 90s, Jake decided to concentrate on writing and producing songs for other recording artist.
Jake formed Uncle Jake’s Music, a production company and studio, in 2000 and began working with several major recording artists. He contributed songs for film star Tyrese Gibson’s self titled debut album, which sold over one million copies and earned Jake his second platinum album. He also produced several songs on Tyrese’s second and third album releases. Jake has written songs with Keith Sweat, Heady D and has contributed music for Jay Z among others.
Daisy Burroughs

From Columbia, South Carolina, Daisy is currently studying broadcast journalism at Winthrop University. Daisy met Kimberly P. Johnson in May 2012 through her interest of volunteering with the United Way of York County.
When not in class or volunteering, Daisy serves as a Peer Mentor and President of the Xi Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and one day hopes to host her own television show."
Passion Bankhead
PR and Marketing
Passion Bankhead is our public relations and marketing intern from Spartanburg, South Carolina. She is currently an Integrated Marketing Communication major at Winthrop University. Passion is also the General Manager for Winthrop’s campus radio station, WINR and a volunteer at the Arts Council of York County. She enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her friends and family. She hopes to open her own public relations firm in a few years but her ultimate dream is to start her own non-profit organization for children.
Josh Demarest
Production Assistant
Josh is 23 year old from Spartanburg, South Carolina. He has been involved in theater since he was 7. He has served on both sides of the curtain, working both as actor and member of stage crew.
He currently attends Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he studies Political Science and Legal Studies and minors in German.
As Production Assistant for All That Drama the musical, Josh serves as a liaison between the co-creators, Kimberly and Bruce, and the directors. He helps plan, stage, and execute the performances.
Kimberly P. Johnson
Co-creator
Children's author, motivational speaker and award winning educator, Kimberly P. Johnson was born in Shelby, NC. She currently resides with her husband Jeff and niece Whitney.
Bruce McKagan
Co-creator
Over the past 4 decades Bruce has evolved from musician to music industry executive, living and working in Seattle, LA, San Diego, Portland, Minneapolis and Charlotte. With roots deeply planted in the fertile music grounds of Seattle, Bruce attended Roosevelt High and the University of Washington while playing in bands through the 70’s.
